Subject: TNS, we did make some early sales for '09 on about

Panhandle of Ne.
1/5 of our projected crop. But, I try to stay informed to make an "educated"guess as to when to price more. I have read/heard as everyone else has about low bu. weights, low quality, lower than last years yields, ethanol plants having to use more corn to get same amount of end product because of low quality, corn still in the field etc. Yes there seem to be isolated spots that were as good or better than last year, but from what I hear/read/see not much. Was everone lying about their '09 crop? Then all the informa type agencies come out with their predictions along with trader guesses that are much below this report and then the USDA comes in this morning with a 12 bu. per acre better than last years crop? How do you out guess them?

No, I don't want corn to go back to 7. Wish it had never gotten that high to begin with, although, got lucky and contracted some corn for '09 at 6+. Wish the elevator would have let us do some back then for '10, '11.
