Subject: RE: flow meter calibration

SESD
If you know how much is actually being put on you can use the formula. If you aren't sure but need to adjust it up or down it explains after the formula what raising or lowering the cal number should do.

From AL Knowledgebase
Formula
Use the following formula to adjust an existing flow meter calibration number when total amount applied and total amount accumulated by the display are known:

Total Accumulated = Amount on the Display

Total Applied = Amount Actually Applied

(Total Accumulated/Total Applied) x Flow Meter Cal = New Flow Meter Cal

Value should increase if not enough product is actually being applied
Value should decrease if too much product is actually being applied

Using the Formula
Example: The original flow meter calibration number is 72 pls/gal. The display total applied reads 900 gallons and actual applied was 1000 gallons.

900/1000 = 0.9 * 72 = 64.8 pls/gal is the new cal number.
