Subject: All production is unknown

North west MN
I am wondering  about selling up to insurance level. I was told by 2 different marketing services to sell corn to my insurance level several times this year. I did sell to insurance and now I have no corn and no insurance as this year the corn is still too wet the crop insurance runs out Dec 10th on corn and it is yours after that. We still hope to get the corn but the snow is a little deep and the corn is still at 30% moisture. I don't think puts would have worked as the time value would have been too expensive and selling futures would have cost me money also as by now as I would have rolled them.  The elevator must have rolled the corn contracts by now so I guess I cannot complain. Just makes we wonder about selling new crop corn up here where it is a 365 day crop
