I'll choose co-ops first to do business as long as there prices are close to competitive.
They’re competitive here. It’s hard to get burned working with a coop as long as you’re getting what you’re paying for in the first place.
As they have merged several times our little corner of the world which had a head office for one of them that was gobbled up at one time seems to have been forgotten about. Hours, basis and fees are horrible for the grain elevator location that is open seasonally and agronomy needs are serviced 40 miles away and feed is 2x that if you want to drive right to the mill to get it and no bag route truck here either. They must have missed the part in their letter "in an effort to serve you better"..
