If there is a state tax on CD he needs to get into US Tres. instead. CD need to pay a min. of .5% more than a US Tres to have a better return. We just did some 4.75% Tres, short term. Sure beat CD. Bank was not even close to 4.75%, much less .5% more. Run Forest Run.
