agree John..

I generally feel there is a percentage of crop, somewhere in the 10-25% range, that a farmer should be willing to sell and not worry about having to have upside protection.....if it causes so much worry that options are warranted on those initial sales, I question if they should ever have been made..

As additional sales are made before the crop is planted or more is known about crop prospects, employeeing strategies which provide floors or some form of upside potential become more viable strategies after that initial level mentioned above is met...

I like this area between 4.45-4.50 on the December 2010 contract to get that first layer of sales on the books.
