north central iowa | The sky is falling. We are being overrun by socialism. Maybe it is the tri lateral commission. I heard all this in the 80's farm crises. It is easy to posit conspiracy theories in tough times. Sorting out the truth requires diligence and no preconceptions going in. It requires determining the "agenda" of the source. I don't spend very much time on "conspiracy theories" because I couldn't do much about it anyway. I do believe that the same people who helped create the meltdown, the unregulated derivative markets, the excessive leverage and bundling of mortgages, and the subsequent crash walked away scot free and are working on the next "crash". Regulatory reform has been "neutered" and large banks are still free to gamble taxpayer money on blue sky. | |
