Understand one thing about NASA's numbers. They are taking sea surface temperatures into account in their temperature proclimations. What DIDN'T we have in 2009? Yes, tropical storms and hurricanes. What do tropical storms and hurricanes do? Cause upwelling of cooler waters and generally cool the sea surface. They are so cock sure of themselves, I really think they've got this bass ackwards. Warmer sea surface temps, at this time, with the current setup, is NOT a good thing, as in, it indicates a cooling bias, with less energy coming into the system, and NOT a warming bias.

Did that sound crazy?
