If only it were that simple. LOL. I would like another 500 acres, but for the following reasons it is next to impossible;

1.Land does not change hands much anymore around here.

2.The banks only lend a guy so much money based on outdated assessment values, I'm young, have no inter-generational backing, and am maxxed out financially. See point #5!

3.If land does come up for sale, unless your farming it already, you really don't hear about it.

4.Most farms around here are at the maximum size they can be without needing more equipment, more labour etc. for our local cropping window. There just aren't many small farmers quitting anymore.

5.From 2003-2008, our area has had a very bizarre weather beating which does not match the long term historic patterns, so guys are leery.
