SW Saskatchewan | Well, that's the truth, makes a big difference when the humidity is high (maybe not at -37) but Winnipeg can knock the socks of the thermometer and have a "wet cold" at the same time.
And as for "dry" heat, yep, we get that on the high plains too. Somewhere west of Moose Jaw SK and Minot ND, the summer air loses that "shirt wringing wet" and you keep a close eye on the water jug!
That's why the western hay makers have 39 different words for dew on the hay, like the Eskimo have 39 different words for snow!
