This is what we use to roll up wire. The first picture is a wire roller I built when I was a kid. it is mounted o an old corn picker frame, PTO powered. It makes rolls like in the second picture. We roll junk wire with it and we can unroll good wire with those wire rolls. The next picture is a factory built wire roller that you can take the roll off. The last picture is a wire roller we built to roll up good wire that we use again. It has a brake on the end so when unrolling wire, it doesn't "fishline". The brake is built out of the front brake off a truck with air brakes. We put a rope on the end of the lever to slow or stop the reel of wire. I think a wire roller like that is what you need to reuse good wire.
