One thing to think about on the dollar getting clobbered is that it has already been clobbered. Since the Fed was created in 1913 it has lost about 95% of its value according to Ron Paul. I'm not suggesting that it can't get clobbered some more, just wanted to point out what the Fed and our government have done to us and continue to do.
