Pittsburg, Kansas | I think it is Velveta that has the list of ingredients that I personally would want to avoid. I don't think the Kraft Singles ingredient list is too bad. But the more a cheese is aged, the longer the bugs in the cheese have a chance to eat up the sugars. That is how cheese is made. The bugs do the conversion and the lactose sugar is what they use for energy to do the work.
Anything that is listed on the label as "cheese" has to have at least a certain riquirement of cheese making and ingredients. If it is "cheese type spread" or some other label other than just "cheese", look out. The ingredients might not be what a person wants to be eating. | |
