But I think many people could benefit health wise by cutting out some of the carbs and the table sugar is certainly one of the the low hanging fruits.

Yes, and I think it is even more than a "low hanging fruit." It is extremely addictive, and my body was really complaining when I cut it out. As I said, I started by merely eliminating it on my morning oatmeal. My body didn't even want to eat the oatmeal without the sugar. I cut the amount back to 1/4 of a cup of dry (5 minute style) oatmeal, and I would add the same amount of chopped walnuts - and I would only eat half of that amount and leave the rest. I once tried sprinkling a little bit of sugar on what was left, and I could readily eat it - in fact, I could have eaten another full serving. I persevered, however, and after a month or so, the oatmeal/walnut mix actually tasted ok. So, I would advise anyone who is going to try this, to expect strong resistance from their body - but the battle can be won.

The other thing I would say is that, this is not unlike trading cattle ( or any commodity, of course). Over time, even though you know know what the mistakes are that will cost you money, you will make them anyway. My best AI based model has consistently shown a rising equity curve, even allowing for generous commission costs and slippage costs - for twenty-four years running in real time - because it is always telling me to do what I don't want to do. If you think about that for a moment, I think you'll understand why, even after so many years, it is still nearly impossible to resist repeating some mistakes. I actually got to the point where I would make the same mistake I had made several times in the past - and I could see myself making it as I was making it. The brain is a strange thing. So, anyway, coming back to eating - you know that you will always "fall off the wagon" - it is inevitable. The key is to simply get back on it. And, the more times you do this, the easier it gets. You are not going to win on all of your trades - the key is to win more than you lose.
