I have done a couple.Dad did the one Im sitting over as I type this.This section was 1785 ish.Was on stone pads.Now on concrete block walls.he did it with a bobcat with no cage.He should have gone 9 ft but didnt.Time ,soil,$$ I assume.The biggest I did was done with foam foundation forms.Huge barn cellar that was a crawl space before.These are super for this.Support structure with steel posts.Set right in footer as it was poured.Build foam blocks around the poles.Leave a space for pouring concrete.Fill in area above forms with 6x6 PT sill,cut to fit between support posts that are now embedded in the wall form.Dad didnot have an excavator so he left a sump pit,I eventually dug a 100 ft drain to daylight,,way better if you can.
