NC Kansas | Cut out the pop completely. You have too. And can't substitute lemonade or gatorade. Make yourself like Black Coffee or Tea (unsweetened of course). That and water is the only thing you drink now. Make a hard commitment to avoid sugar and reduce carbs as much as possible (this includes most fruit, too much sugar content). Don't have to avoid it all completely forever but to kickstart weight loss that will be key. Then the fasting will also help kick start it, don't eat between 7pm and noon the next day. First few days will be hard but you will adjust especially if you can load up on protein and fat for supper. The only thing wrong with Fat is it has the word Fat in it... carbs and sugar are killer. You can drop 40-50 lbs easy if you just do this for 6 months. add in a little exercise and you'll get there. The fasting habit will help you maintain once you get there and can kinda eat what you want in moderation from noon to say 7pm.
I'm good at everything but avoiding the carby snacks like check mix/pretzels/chips/cheez its etc... I try to substitute nuts and cheese or sunflower seeds when I want a snack like that. I still eat sandwiches and burgers with bread and buns, but to kick start your journey maybe avoid that too. You will be shocked how much weight you can lose without exercise. | |
