Soldiers Grove Wi. 54655 | I just put a new septic in this last fall as in Wi. it has to be done or certified by later this year. That said our area needs to jump through a few hoops as we live in a Karst geography with sinkholes and caves in many places. They now call it the "Driftless Area" and cabins are popping up in every knook and cranny and most end up being houses in the long run after a few years. It's a hot spot for people retiring out of the city so without the rules (which I don't totally agree with) drinking water quality is going to become a problem as well as pollution in the trout streams. We also have seen major fish kill offs in pretty decent sized rivers because of CAFOs. It's not like the 60s, and even early 70s where each farm had their own dump to throw their trash that was usually at the head of a ditch that washed down through the neighbors land until zoning took care of that problem. Heck of it is everyone that is in business putting septic systems in are tied up for just about 1/2 - 2 years in advance right now and the price is just going to keep going up. | |
