I know there's been a few different threads about diets over the years on here. I've also heard about fasting, etc
What works for you? Has worked? Etc.
I'm 33yr old male. 6'1" and 280lbs. I would say my prime weight is about 220, so about 60lbs to lose. Not really an excuse, but having kids, marriage, speed of life/eating out, emotional/bored eating, as well as many tractor hours and new baby hours have all taken their toll on me over the last 7 years. I wanna loose the weight and get back to where I was at 220. Tired of clothes getting small, skin sweating where it never used to, being winded easier, etc.
Few personal goals would be
Cut down or completely gone of pop
More water
Less fast food/eating out
Not sure where I could fit exercise in
My daughter is a dietician and you nailed it in your goals , but she would add if you dont want complexity in your diet,watch the proportion sizes and fill up with salads at meal time and snack on fruits and veggies . At 33 you can easy get youself back in shape . My wife and i are twice your age and have weight close to where it should be . But we work at it hard and we never drink soda ever just alot of suger free lemonade we make ourselves from cheap concentrate .
What you have to do Pick a course walk 2 miles non stop everyday 7 days a week . . Only takes 28 minutes when you get good at it . You dont have time , make time or you a prime candidate for diabetes at a young age . You dont want that . You can do it if you try . The wife and I go to our grand children's pre school programs and can sit in the little kids chairs . |
