Wisconsin | I've worked on prefabs. Double wide (they never use that term!) or four block, very well built wood floors with drywall, set with a crane on a conventional foundation. You could do a lot worse, upgrade the plumbing fixtures, they come with the cheapest builder model big brand fixtures you'll ever see.
Sounds like you're talking about wall sections that come from a factory? seems pretty common, good way to stretch labor no body wants to do by putting it in a factory to allow lower skill, better supervision, etc. etc. Less advantage on smaller jobs farther from a factory. Unless the local labor is tighter and more costly than the city maybe? | |
