Subject: DMI ACS Harrow performance

Southwest Illinois
We've been looking to buy a field cult and local dealer is pushing the DMI w/ the ACS tine and basket. Having never been a tine harrow fan I must admit I'm reluctant. We run a Landoll Tilloll for most of our one pass tillage in corn. However in continuous corn rotations two trips with that is too much. I thought a trip first with a FC just to get things opened up followed by the Tilloll would be better than two passes with the Tilloll. Or run the Tilloll followed by the FC. Irregardless, I'm curious how this set up performs. We would probably not be working a stale seedbed in hopes of planting. It would either be a first trip machine or it would be the second trip following the Tilloll. What we have now is a 5 bar on our FC. Does a good job in moist conditions but doesn't bust up clods when it gets dry.
