Northwest Ohio | Just bought a Dell laptop, with one of the little square mousepads in the middle that you drag your finger across (instead of a roll around mouse). This laptop mouse has an annoying feature that I can't figure out how to turn off: if I let the mouse pointer sit on an item for more than a second or two, it assumes that I automatically want to select that item (even if I don't single click, don't doubleclick, or don't do anything). Consequently, I end up going a lot of places that I don't intend on going to. I would think there's got to be a way to turn this "feature" off, cause I usually can't decide within a second whether that's really where I want to go. I looked around under the "Mouse" settings in Control Panel and tried some things, but haven't found anything yet which seemed to work.
Thanks for any help on this. | |
