SE ND | woke up this morning to snow on the ground... not good. Very very wet up here in SE north dakota. Can't get the crop off or any fall work for that matter. Last attempt at harvesting beans involved 4 fields over 2 days and netting a whole 40 acres havested. Couldn't get the combine across any field and since then we've recieved over an inch of rain and the previously mentioned snow. I am sure there are plenty of others in the same boat (literally). Guess I'll hope it freezes the ground solid as the likeliness of ground this wet drying this time of the year up here is highly unlikely, just hope snow dosen't cover the beans prior to that... thanks for the vent, frustrations are building. | |
