Subject: Seeding turnrows for winter cover

East Central Arkansas

I have several turnrows and field roads I would like to seed this fall to have a winter cover growing on them. I don't want to disk them or work them up. I don't have a grain drill but if there was some type of plate that would work to plant wheat or cereal rye in my 1700 JD vacum planter I could make mutiple offset passes to have narrow drill like rows. Does anyone know of such plates for these planters.

I do have some grain sorgam plates that would work for small round seeds. Has anyone tried these with any of the larger seeded clovers or vetch.
