east central south dakota | We recently purchased a phantom 4 and a ag eagle. We haven't flown the phantom yet but we have been flying the ag eagle. We are using NDVI imaging. Is there better imaging to find stress in field crops? I am also wondering on heights to fly for the best quality picture. We flew 320 acres yesterday hoping to find where a grower needed to replant with zero success on identifying these areas. Is that to much to ask from a drone? I have been told some are good enough to do stand counts but yet ours can't even identify where the plants are up yet. Maybe my expectations are to high? Is there a better camera or lens for this type of need? Or do I need a better drone?
