Subject: fuel milage loss from mud tires

Saronville NE
Do you feel you lose much fuel mileage from runnin mud tires on yr pickups versus hwy tires like they come with new? My 3500 dodge came with michelin ltx as tires, good on hwy not worth squat on the farm, slightest damp area, you are done even in 4wd, my questin is puttin like the cooper stt on or something agressive like that how much does it hurt yr mileage, dad always told me drops couple mpg, seems like sometimes its true sometimes its not. Whats yr opnion? And whats a good all around mud tire that will wear half way decent 265 70 17? TIA
