Subject: 9660STS and GS1 Yield Monitor - Mapping?

Colby, Kansas
Due to a recent equipment purchase on my fathers operation I have been drug into the world of GS yield monitors, and thus need some expertise from those experienced. This 9660STS has a GS1 console and sensors in place, the harness that plugs into the console has another plug on it not being used. The manual speaks about some data store module. Bottom line question is, what is necessary for mapping, and where one would splice into the system to inject NMEA data. On these machines is the "wedge box" still needed?

Thanks in advance.

Lucas

EDIT: Upon some time spent on JD website I found this:

Customers converting from Monitoring to Mapping have four options:

Option 3) When using a grain tank mounted moisture sensor using HarvestDoc, they will need a Mobile Processor and StarFire Position Receiver. In addition, customers will also have to order Apex, a KeyCard to download BASICS to, and a PC Data Storage Card.

New questions: What is BASICS, and I'm getting the drift that the mobile processor replaces the old wedge box and sits behind the existing display, is that correct?
