Subject: OmniStar HP vs. XP

Oswald No-Till Farm Cleghorn, IA
Greetings,

Along the lines of the discussion about Omnistar convergence, I just leave it turned on if it sets outside overnight which hasn't been often due to our short windows of operation. Convergence is at least 20 minutes on XP and I DO!!! lose convergence driving in Dad's lane with about 50-60 yards of southern tree canopy.

For the most part, I have been happy with XP with the EZ 500 and EZ Steer and wonder how much better HP would do for me. In custom planting in tilled ground, I measured the planter guess rows at 29-32" not being able to pick a particular pattern of "offset" though it seems to run "wide" more than narrow when not 30".

I plant with the markers down and watch the mark coming out the back of the planter on center most of the time.

My questions/thoughts are part of a tweaking process as we are out of the field due to rain.

XP vs. HP ..... What say you?

TIA

Tom
