Subject: Garmin 17-HVS power

SE Nebraska
I want to use a Garmin GPS 17-HVS with an Ag Leader PF 3000 Pro. In the past I have used the Ag Leader adaptor "NMEA GPS to Aux 1" cable P.N. 2000990 to connect to a GPS with an external power source. The garmin has a 9 pin connector and needs power to pin 4. Can I pull power from the pf 3000 or should I use an external power supply. On aux port 1 pin 4 is "PWR_CTL", pin 9 is "PWR_OUT", and pin 10 is "PWR_IN_12V". Would one of these provide power maybe pin 9? TIA Todd
