Western Oregon | I have a 2-155 FWA. 450 hrs ago (when I bought the tractor) it had no oil leaks. Last fall it had a little dribble under the transfer case. Now it has a huge leak. To the point where I have to carry a little pan to put under it when I park on nice driveways.
It also developed a head gasket leak.
Now the clutch shudders really bad when I take off in sixth with my Great Plains drill on the back. It will even do it in fifth if I not careful.
So the question is...
1. Can you tighten up the transfer case? Can you remove it and change the gasket without taking everything else apart? Any suggestions? It appears to be leaking where the transfer case attaches to the transmission.
2. The clutch was supposed to have been replaced not long ago. Will a new clutch fix the chattering? Is there a heavy duty clutch you can use? Can anyone successfully shift from fifth over to sixth high and still keep the beast rolling? (My old MM G1355 I could double clutch and shift from fifth to sixth with no problem.)
3. Where can I buy that special leak proofing silver paint the people used on this tractor before I bought it? I asked the dealer but they really didn't think it was very funny...
