Central To Everything and Close to Nothing | I'm looking for some opinions on which ag GIS program is the best out there for the ag consultant. I have some experience with Farmworks Site and Trac and Ag Leader's SMS Advanced and have looked at the info on the websites for SSToolbox and EASi Suite. All of the programs have their strengths and weaknesses but I'm curious as to what you readers of this forum use and what you have tried. We are just getting into precision ag consulting and need to purchase a GIS program. We have a lot of John Deere seeding and harvesting equipment with precision ag components in the area but there are CNH units as well. Cost is not a limiting factor as long as it provides value to what we want to do. As well, I have no appetite for using a program for a few years only to replace it with something else and start over. In this area, field analysis and prescription reccommendations is in it's infancy but we want to be the leaders of this and not the followers.
