West Central WI | I had to "one up" Jim with his grazing steers HA HA HA. This kinda started as a accident. I planted bmr sorghum sudan in my winter feeding area last year just to have something growing there. Last year I let the cows eat it off. This year, there was a spot the calves could get under the fence. Once one found it, the rest followed. Not sure of the final results yet, but the calves are doing pretty good on it. (they get a little lost sometimes, but they don't care LOL) They are also getting a creep feed grain mix, but this grazing really saves on that. This particular variety sorghum/sudan is a dwarf so it makes more leaves and not so much stalk.
