Subject: 4 bred hfr's ?

mn
talk with an older neighbor the other day on the gravel rd, said he has 4 hd hfr's that are about 1000# and most likely bred to their brother's, he does not have last yrs calves cut yet, been feed grass hay and a couple buckets (loader) of corn silage, wants to know what they're worth and if I'd buy em from him. I'm going to look at em this after noon. I told him we'll sort em off today and I'll load em up monday morn and go see the vet and we'll talk later. first ? they are black, and bred black, on the thin side but in great shape, tall and thin, and tame, not feed hard, I think would make great cows, but the bred to brother thing bothers me, is that a problem first time around. next if vet say's they'll be fine and are close how much do you pay for em on a per head deal, knowing bred to brother? or do you offer to haul em to sale barn and keep mouth shut?
