Subject: Sick heifer advice?

SE Texas
I have a 8 mth old heifer that was weaned 2 months ago. She is in a pasture with about 15 other retained heifers next to the house. Yesterday at 4:00 I checked on them and all were fine. When my wife got home (6:30) she looked across the field and one of them was on the ground having convulsions. I when out and checked and though the convulsions had quit she was clearly neurogically confused, appeared almost blind and had difficulty standing due to weakness in her rear legs. Breath rate was slightly elevated but not labored. Temperature was normal and no outward signs of any trauma. Vet came out this morning early and does not have a clue what is happening. Same symptoms except now there is blood in her stool.

Any ideas. She will not be around much longer at this rate. All the other heifers are fine and show no symptoms. I am open to any suggestions at this point.

TIA
