Subject: Speeding up rotational grazing and dandelions (pics)

Driftless SW Wisconsin

After reading Ben's comment in a thread below about a natural tendency to leave them on a paddock too long this time of year,  I decided to speed things up also, not require such a clean up (to 3 or 4" grass height) while there is a lot of good nutritious grass in coming paddocks which will be over ripe by the time they get there.

In opening up more grass today in my rotational grazing system I continue to be amazed at how my Herefords love to eat dandelions! Even my oldest cow on the left in the first picture about broke into a run when she saw I'd opened more dandelions!

Here are a couple pictures from today.
