Subject: Question on meat quality


West Central Illinois
I have a 2nd calf heifer (3 year old) that had her fist calf last April and is open this Spring. My neighbor was wanting me to feed out a calf for him to butcher. Would this 3 year old be too old to make good cuts of steak etc....? She is an angus cow that has just been on pasture. I would feed her some grain for a month or so before butchering if you all think she will make anything but hamburger.
