Subject: Questions about end stage liver disease

North Central Illinois
I have a friend that has been diagnosed with end stage liver disease caused by cirrohsis of the liver which was caused by years of drinking way too much vodka. The family tells me that he is not considered a candidate for a transplant. I went to see him today and he is yellow as a banana from the jaundice. He had some bleeding in his stomach that they got stopped and the doctors said his kidneys are functioning quite well. They said he has about 12 percent of his liver left. Anyone have an idea how long this guy might live? He did it to himself but it is still sad.
