| After over 25 years next to a decaying woods it finally happened - found termites. A small area on dry wall has been found, but we can't find any other damage (I know it must be there). It had been several years since the liquid treatment had been done and they found a way in. We have always used Terminix for pest control and their termite guy came down strongly in favor of the newest version of the Sentricon bait plan because it showed the most success of killing off the colony. We have a bait unit at the site of the damage in the house and a bait unit every 10 feet around the house.
So, let me hear any and all ideas about what we have done so far and any suggestions as to other measures to take. The house is a 15 sided rondesic house that has concrete walls (part finished) and floor on the lower level with support coming from triple 2x12's running from the walls to a center concrete block support.
Boy is the wife freaking out over the coming "swarm". | |
