Can anybody on NAT give me some advice? I have been sued by an out of town debt collection agency for a fraudulent debt. This debt was sold to them. The amount is $1,100 and was not filed in small claims court but as a civil case. I am damned if I hire a lawyer (they said it could cost several thousand dollars to defend) and damned if I dont. So far I have responded and denied their interagatory questions and have represented myself pro se but now they are filing motions and I don't know how to "properly" respond to this paper filing game. Apparently my response did not conform to court rules. I really thought they would drop this after getting my responses. I have been searching online for some sort of template as to how to file appropriate responses and to question/ depose them back and to find out what needs to be filed with whom but am not having much luck. Can anybody point me in the right direction as to where I could get some legal questions answered? What would you do? I know what I'd like to do... I wish there was a NewAgTalk for this sort of thing. Do you know of one? |
