Rural North Florida | Yes, it's me again with the ongoing saga of the Jersey heifer who delivered on Monday. We were milking her today, trying to get all this milk out of her- her calf has been eating frequently but evidently not enough. We milked almost a gallon out of her and then noticed one of the teats had a little blood coming out with the milk, so it was tinged pink. What is this a sign of? Is it normal for a first time milker in the first few days?
All the other teats were fine. | |
