Minnesota | Hi! I've got a John Deere 4840 that just started giving trouble. I've been using it all day to drill wheat. I came in to put on fuel and as I was heading out of the yard and shifting into 7th it acted like it got caught between gears. Quickly I pushed in the clutch but now the transmission light is on and it has no response to any gear. Hydraulics seem to be working ok but it wont even try to get into gear. I checked fluid and it was low so I added. I also quick changed the transmission filter since I had one on hand. Fluid and filters were drained and replaced around 150 hours ago. Never had any trouble with it. Any ideas? TIA! | |
