I’ve noticed some lawn care folks who have them removed. Recently bought a new Echo 2620T trimmer and the guard is so narrow, I’m thinking it’s only there to keep the line cut to length. Older trimmers I have - have much larger guards.
What is the NAT community doing - running their string trimmers with or without the guard?
