Subject: US Highway 20

NW Iowa
In the last year or so, US Highway 20 has been designated “The Medal of Honor Highway”. This Highway goes from Coast to Coast. The western most point of Highway 20 is Newport Oregon. It looks like my wife and I may have an opportunity to travel this road from Newport Oregon to Sioux City Iowa in mid to late April. Highway 20 goes through Oregon, Idaho, briefly into Montana then through Wyoming and Nebraska into Sioux City. If this trip develops, would we run into any type of weather that would not make this trip a pleasant trip, particularly in Idaho, Montana or Wyoming during this time frame? We would be driving from NW Iowa to the San Diego area and then head north on Hwy 1 or 101 to Newport Oregon and then head east on Hwy 20. Any suggestions or opinions would be welcome.
