Subject: Facebook problem on Win 11 laptop

North East Wimmera district of Victoria.

My wife is a fan of Facebook!   [I don't go near it!]

Her complaint today is that it scrolls down of its own volition.  This is on a Win 11 laptop, which otherwise works fine.

Then when she scrolls back up using the scroll wheel on the mouse, she cannot find where she had been just moments previous.

Any help as to why Facebook may just scroll down voluntarily?

TIA

There are two ways to use it on a laptop you can view through normal browser like chrome or install the app which can be left in taskbar.
Overall the app is a smoother experience - on mine anyway, but if there are problems with one way you have the option of the other.
It might be a touchpad driver or customising problem.
A lot of them have a sub-layer of things you can adjust takes a little finding.

BTW facebook is not all bad there are plenty of useful groups about almost any subject you can think of but I initially got involved with local community one which is surprisingly useful and has brought people together to an unexpected degree. Generally very positive but once in a while little spats flare up.
I never used it either until I discovered the group aspect relatively recently.

What browser? Facebook will do that to me on my desktop using Firefox. No issues using Edge. Never have found a fix for it.
