SW Ohio | I spread my phosphate VR ahead of each crop. I typically use MAP but don't figure I get much use out of the nitrogen, with as much rain as we get in the spring I think I lose most of the nitrogen before the corn can use it.
This year I can get 0-46-0 for $170 per ton less than MAP, I'm thinking this might be a good way to go, I think I'd rather spend the money on nitrogen to put on with the planter or sidedress applicator than broadcasting it.
I've read that TSP is more acidic, how much of a concern is this?
This is all ground that I'm trying to build the phosphorus levels. | |
