Subject: 1980 Kenworth K124 w/903 cummin's won't start

1980 Kenworth K124 with 903 cummins won't start. Think it's a fuel issue. Just trying to troubleshoot and eliminate some variables. In the fuel line, just prior to the fuel filter, is an air pressurized pot. I presume that is used to help bleed the fuel system? Anyway I put some air in at the valve on top of it and fuel came out of the air valve, which leads me to suspect there may be an air bladder in there?... that has ruptured? Doesn't seem to be any fuel leaks in any lines so no air getting into system, so I'm thinking fuel pump is not lifting fuel properly, although it has been running perfectly up until today. Has me puzzled. Could be a faulty fuel shut off solenoid?
