Eastern NE KS | My parents are 88 and 87 years old. They are noticably failing as I write this. If they make it, they will be married 70 years in September. It these factors that called me to the following details.
They have lived in the same house since 1977. I learned of their mortgage when I was in college. Recently, I was putting income tax info together to calculate their income tax. The preparer urged me to get all taxes paid in 2022.
The crossover is the property tax for their home for 2023 will exceed their mortgage payment of long ago. Years ago, I commented to Dad that property taxes are 'rent' we send to the government.
