SC Kansas | We have some wheat that is in pretty sorry shape. Adjuster said 5-15 on the 3 fields he looked at. If we swath or spray now we have to leave a 10' strip to check at maturity. I'd like to go ahead and do that and plant some milo in there. It's going to have an insurance payment one way or the other. Is there any reason to wait until harvest or just pull the trigger now? I'm pretty fortunate that in my 30 or so years of farming with my dad, we've never had to make this decision. It just feels like whatever decision we make is wrong | |
