Because I do a little wood working and buy some tools and materials I'm inundate each holiday with offers relating to the holiday.  But really, mom doesn't want a lathe, or a paint gun or some little thing to hold some candles on the table.

I know some ladies (especially younger ones involved in the business) might want some of these things but when you reach your 70's you kind of don't want more stuff or you go get it yourself.

I can imagine, "hey mom, got you a new table saw, look it's shiny!"
