I have an investment, 17 weeks, that I put on automatic reinvest. Question, now that interest rates have gone up, when it renews will I get the higher rate and still be a 17 week or will I get the same rate as before?
I tried reading Section 216 guide from T.D. , but I can't say I understand it very well. I think I can attach 216.
It also talked about reinvesting and it might move my investment up to a longer term unit to get the same rate as before. I don't always want going from a 2 year to a 10 year.
Maybe I should just never use the auto renewal option. Yes or No ?
