How do you figure shrink on 68% silage?

Subject: How do you figure shrink on 68% silage?



Is shrink on silage just a 1:1 ratio? If I cut 68% silage and the feedlot shrinks to a payout of 65% is that just a 3% or is a different number used such as in wet corn being about a 1.4% per point of moisture. Just curious
